I am gay and I am a natural history consultant.//
As a natural historian I have always been interested in plants, animals and nature and the human relationship with it. I studied biology in the Netherlands, followed by biodiversity studies in Finland. I then investigated plant evolution while living in England where I completed with colleagues an encyclopaedic work on the plants of the world. I now work as a freelance consultant for botanical gardens and carry out editorial work for a learned society.
