I am a lesbian and I am a validation scientist.//
I’m a biological scientist in a microscope company. I test new prototypes, develop applications, test customer samples, develop educational and training materials for both internal and customer use. I have 20+ years experience in academic research before I left to join the private sector. I had a great research career studying biofilms, bacterial motility and alternative approaches to antibiotics. I became enamoured with light microscopy through my research and eventually this became my major interest. I developed expertise in love cell imaging and structured illumination microscopy. I now enjoy helping researchers adopt super resolution and high content microscopy the their research projects.
