I am a lesbian and I am a board certified behavior analyst.//
I am a Filipina-American Behavior Analyst practicing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) wherever I can. It was during my training as a Behavior Technician and learning about the science of ABA in changing behaviors that I decided to change my career goals. I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and since the beginning of my grad classes until now, I always knew I wanted to expand my application of ABA, which is why I fell in love with it in the first place as it is a technology for behavior change.
I co-founded Asians & Pacific Islanders Association for Behavior Analysis to disseminate our science, provide cultural responsiveness trainings, and create a space of belonging in our field. I also became the Youth Director for Riverside Pride to apply ABA in yet a different space and population. In addition to establishing events and resources to serve Queer Youth and families, I aim to create workshops for schools to learn how to make a more safe and inclusive space for Queer students.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my wife and cats, discover new places in my city (especially if it’s food related), hang out with family, and stream movies and tv shows.
