I’m a Medical Doctor and scientist focused on understanding and fighting advanced-stage cancers with the immune system. I mostly known for designing innovative clinical trials and helping several projects to address the COVID-19 pandemic in The United States. I’m a featured Medical Contributor to television networks, and cited by high-tier publications and trusted print outlets. I’m a former Medical Oncology Fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. I’m gay and an aggressive advocate for health care access equity, universal health care coverage and data transparency. I served as a Medical Advisor to COVID Act Now and the National Convalescence Plasma Project. I was born in Brazil, and live in San Francisco, CA.
