She/Her

I am queer and I am a glaciologist.//

The amazing department at Williams College introduced me to the Geosciences, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I had the opportunity to do research in glacial outwash zones in Iceland, and on paleoclimate in the Bering Sea and the Aleutian Islands. I found my way to the Juneau Icefield Research Program (@juneauicefieldresearchprogram), where I worked with the geophysics team living on and studying the physics of an ice divide and it’s flow! I am continuing a project with JIRP, and look forward to my future as a queer scientist in glaciology! Glaciers, ice fields, and ice sheets are ceaselessly beautiful and fascinating, and I hope my story will get more people up to the high ice. I hope to create a culture in the earth sciences that opens doors for justice, and for all queer people to flourish.
