Hello. I am a Biophysicist from Brazil. As a scientist, I am compelled by the molecular mechanisms of the interactions between nanomaterials and biological environments, particularly blood. In my Ph.D. work at UNIFESP, I have investigated the bio-interaction between blood plasma enzymes and nanoparticles. I am a passionate scientist, I love what I do. But unfortunately, is a daily fight to be a researcher in Brazil. Our current government not only neglects science but has been frantically dismantled policies for the LGBT population. Being an LGBT person and a scientist in Brazil is challenging. But we are here to stay!
