I am queer and I am a graduate student.//
I am currently a Sociology Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and I am receiving a certificate in Feminist Studies. I have been out my entire higher education career. I identify as a gender non-conforming queer woman of color with disabilities. My queerness has shaped me as a student, researcher, and educator. My research areas include gender, sexuality, and race and my research focuses on queer/trans* communities. I think it is important that queer/trans* voices and experiences are represented and explored within research.
