I am queer and I am a chemist and science communicator. //
I’m a queer scientist who likes sharing their enthusiasm about science! My BS and MS are in chemistry. My research involved synthetic organic and chemical education. I’m currently working on finishing up my PhD program in chemistry, and my research involves leveraging biology to do chemistry. I study pathways that make important natural products to learn more about how biology does chemistry and how we could use it to make new medicines. I’m also heavily involved in science communication and outreach in a group at my university and at my local science museum. When I’m not doing science or outreach, I really dig live music and museums. I’m also a yogi and a hiker.
