I am queer and I am a neuroscientist.//
你好呀~ My name is Qixiu Fu (chee-sho foo). I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am interested in computational psychiatry, particularly wanting to understand the neural computations underlying the effects of deep brain stimulation on treatment-resistant depression.
I am an international queer woman in science who is always looking to connect more with the queer community around the world. Outside of lab, I like to write in Chinese (whenever possible). I am currently writing a weekly blog on my training journey. I hope my background and interests can inspire other queer souls to enjoy and live their dreams!
