I am a lesbian and I am a science educator and communicator.//
I am the Communications & Education Specialist at the Duke Lemur Center. My goal is to instill a passion in lemurs, evolution, and conservation in audiences that range from global to local. I run the center’s social media, lead in-person tours and educational programs, work on outreach in local schools, and help design exhibits in our visitor center.
I came out as queer during high school, and I have been heavily influenced over my life by the presence of gay role models who made me feel safe, seen, and represented in both personal and professional spheres.
