I am gay and I am a Ph.D. student.//
I’m a Ph.D. student at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, researching ways to transform the outputs of ecological models into 3D and VR experiences that let people actually see and interact with our abstract predictions of what might be. We’re all expected to process and understand an incredible – and growing – amount of information every day, and I absolutely love bringing the high-tech tools we have available to bear to help people make sense of it all.
