I am gay and I am a cell biologist.//
I am originally from Chile, came to the US right after completing my degree back home. I got my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Montana, and I am currently working on transcription factor biology at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. My interests include biology education and cancer biology, and I am working on transitioning from the lab bench to the classroom. I have experience in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and cell signaling research. In addition, I am interested in increasing LGBTQ visibility and representation in science. Looking forward to make some great personal and professional connections on here.
