I am a lesbian and I am a postdoc in biology.//
I fell in love with science as a teenager when I first looked through a fluorescence microscope. I’ve studied a lot of different questions, from wound healing in mice and immune cell migration in fruit flies, to cell division in starfish eggs. I’m now doing research to understand how regeneration happens in flatworms. Specifically I study how the worm knows where to grow a head or trail after being cut into pieces.
