I am a lesbian and I am a STEM educator. //
After teaching high-school science, I now support other teachers in integrating climate-science literacy into their curriculum and practice. I’m passionate about ensuring that teachers have the resources and knowledge to teach the science of what ought to be and not just the science of what is. My hope is that young people today learning about climate change will find science class a place to imagine and begin creating more just socio-ecological futures. It has always been important to me that I am not only out to my students, but an advocate for making science classrooms safe spaces for all learners.
