I am a rising senior planetary science student at Marietta College. I am studying meteorites using mineralogic and petrologic methods, and I also have an interest in experimental petrology. As a queer woman in this field, it is important to me to see the planetary science field intentionally diversify as those in my generation begin to enter the graduate and professional sphere. The underrepresentation of BIPOC, queer, trans, etc. people in the field needs to change, as studying our solar system and how we got here is something everyone can contribute to
