Eduardo Luis Cruz

He/Him

I am bi/pan and I am an evolutionary ecologist specializing in invasive plant biology.//

I was born to immigrant parents in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. I transferred from College of the Desert to California State University San Bernardino where I completed my undergraduate work and conducted research in the field of population genetics. At present, I am a Master’s Candidate at California State University, San Bernardino working on understanding the genetics of the invasive plant Carpobrotus edulis.

I have been very fortunate to have a supportive family and a very close group of friends. Additionally, throughout my career, I have worked with many amazing and supportive individuals as a scientist and educator. When not looking for changes in C. edulis gene expression, I enjoy hiking, reading, and various kinds of photography.
