Daphna Stroumsa

She/her or they/them

I’m a queer, nonbinary lesbian and I’m a physician and researcher. //

I’m a queer/nonbinary lesbian, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and a researcher. In both my clinical work and my research, I focus on addressing the health needs of gender and sexual minorities, and issues affecting trans/gender-diverse people’s access to care, with particular interests in interactions with healthcare providers and in the intersections of reproductive justice and queer health. I am committed to bridging LGBTQ community activism with the care I provide, and with health-services research and advocacy. I grew up in Jerusalem, where I studied medicine at the Hebrew University – Hadassah Medical School. I trained in ob/gyn there, then moved to Michigan to be with my partner—now spouse! I trained (again!) in ob/gyn in Detroit, and am now a research fellow at the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Michigan.
