I am a lesbian and I am a scientist studying animal behaviour.//
I am trained as a zoologist, and my research is mainly focused on animal behaviour and cognition. I am interested in the evolution of social behaviour and physiological as well as cognitive mechanisms. For example I study how social interactions affect the physiological stress response or health of individuals. I mostly study birds, such as greylag geese or carrion crows. I am passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion work and keen to make academia more welcoming for everybody.
