I am gay and I am a reproductive endocrinologist.//
I am a queer scientist at BU and I study reproductive endocrinology using Drosophila. I originally grew up in West Virginia and during that time I was also understanding my own identity and sexuality. I am a more naturally curious person and found solace in science in being able to work and answer fundamental questions of biology. My personal interests include writing/reading poetry, short stories, and music and I also collect insects. My professional interests are in reproductive endocrinology, cell biology, microscopy, and Drosophila genetics. I am hoping to stay in academia and become a PI so I can be a mentor for future scientists.
