I am bi and I am a PhD candidate in environmental epidemiology (public health).//
I’m an environmental epidemiologist -my work focuses on assessing population-level exposure to metals (such as arsenic, mercury, lead) and evaluating the association between these metal exposures and chronic disease. I am most invested in and motivated by projects which a) are community- owned/directed/managed, or b) evaluate federal regulations intended to reduce metal exposures and related adverse health outcomes. My work is a little bit of field work/environmental monitoring, and a whole lot of data crunching.
