He/Him

I am gay and I am a mathematician.//

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at York University in Toronto, Canada. My mathematical research was on cellular automata and computational mathematics. I am now interested in research in mathematics education, particularly the transition from high school to university and peer-supported learning.

I’m thrilled that this project exists because I had no queer professional role models when I was in school and that there are (at time of writing) 1726 queer scientists on this site bring me no end of delight.
