I am gay and I am a lecturer in climate science.//
I’m a lecturer in climate science at the University of Melbourne. I research how extreme weather events are changing as the world warms as well as trying to improve how we predict weather and climate extremes. I’ve been interested in weather and climate change for a long time now and I’ve found that my work blends my favourite subjects from school: geography, maths and physics. I teach undergraduate students here at Melbourne including our first year course “Wonders of the Weather” where I try and pass on my enthusiasm for meteorology and climate. I really enjoy my job and am very lucky to work in a supportive environment.
