She/Her

I am trans and I am a neuroscience PhD student.//

I am trans and I’m a neuroscientist PhD student at Griffith University. I started transitioning at the end of my undergraduate degree and so majority of my postgraduate studies were done during the awkward period of time of pharmaceutically induced second puberty. I was told that it would be hard to handle both my studies and my life situation but I found that dealing with one made it easier to excel at the other. Not only has my postgrad studies gone smoothly, but I was able to start as a masters student and articulate to PhD, I’m on track to finish ahead of time and if all things go well I’ll be finishing with 6 publications. I’ve got international collaborations coming up in Denmark and thesis submission in July, I refuse to let being trans limit my potential.
