I am queer and I am a zooarchaeologist.//
My entire life has been an identity crisis – from being Asian in a predominately white town (and eventually, research discipline), to deciding my research niche (started as a classical archaeologist who specialized in statues and ended up a zooarchaeologist who specializes in British prehistory), to even understanding my sexuality (was I heterosexual? or bisexual? or confused?). Today, I’m happy to be a proudly pansexual, Asian zooarchaeologist who is now based in the United Kingdom and working to make archaeology a more inclusive and diverse discipline!
