I am asexual and nonbinary and I am a rabbit and guinea pig veterinarian. //
I decided to become a vet as a small child after my pet bunny became sick, and after uni was lucky enough to find a clinic which lets me focus on my favourite species. Medicine in these little friends is developing rapidly, and it’s exciting, terrifying, and often frustrating to be on the front line of this. My clinic does a lot of education work, trying to make small fibrevore medicine more accessible to vets who see less of these species. We’re hoping that our work will improve the welfare and lives of buns and piggies. I came out as asexual early in my degree and trans once I finished, and I’m very enthusiastic about helping out with a newly forming network of Australian queer veterinary staff.
