He/Him
I am gay/ Two-Spirit and I am a public health professional.//
Hey everyone! I am a recent MPH graduate who spent a few years too many working in policy but have finally returned to my first loves, public health, and epidemiology. I currently oversee country-level HIV programs throughout sub-Saharan Africa as well as continue my research interests in what spare time I have. I’m passionate about human rights, health equity, and ensuring that every individual has access to the resources they need to live a healthy, happy life – regardless of who they are.
I’ve been fortunate to find the Scientific community very welcoming and supportive of my identity as a mixed, gay man. I hope to support and mentor other young LGBTQ+ and diverse individuals who are interested in science, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to chat!
I got my MPH from Johns Hopkins University and my Bachelor’s from the University of Washington. I’m a Pacific Northwestener at heart and love to read, bake, but most of all, my black cat Minerva.
