I am bi/queer and I am a behavioral ecologist.//
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri where I had the opportunity to work with a number of supportive and encouraging PIs and graduate students. The LGBTQ+ community in the Midwest is not easily accepted by everyone, but I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who were accepting of my identity and fostered my growth as a scientist.
I am now a Master’s student at California State University, San Bernardino where I am studying the behavioral responses of animals to wildfires. I am starting my data collection this summer and look forward to sharing my academic journey with the LGBTQ+ community!
