I'll take 'em all, but prefer non-masculine.

I am trans and I am a statistician and theoretical biologist. //

I started exploring my gender issues while a PhD student in ecology in Australia. After a postdoc in the States and failed attempts to find a job in Australia, I re-trained as a statistician. It’s been great because I really love data and figuring out the best ways to analyze it. I try to develop evolutionary ideas that can be tested with data, and help my colleagues and students to do better science. I hope that by being out about my gender issues and being a moderately successful scientist, I can encourage colleagues and students who may be grappling with their own issues to explore and live a full, authentic life. I’m also married with two wonderful children.
