He/Him

I am gay and I am an evolutionary biologist. //

In 2016, I earned my PhD studying the genotypic, phenotypic, and fitness dynamics of adaptation using long-term experimental evolution of E. coli. Since then, I have been a lecturer of biology at CSU Long Beach and UC Irvine. I have a strong passion for science and math, and I love to excite and inspire others about such amazing and beautiful subjects. I believe that being gay actually helps me to be a better scientist, because it is a part of my identity that makes me open to and unafraid of new and different ideas. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing tabletop games, gardening, and painting.
