He/Him

I’m gay and I’m a PhD student. //

I’m a current PhD student within the Molecular Ecology Lab of Flinders University. My research focuses on the evolutionary history of a group of small, endangered fish called pygmy perches. I use a combination of large genomic data, modelling techniques, and environmental information to try to understand how the historic Australian environment has shaped the evolution of these species. I also run a weekly blog about conservation and ecological genetics on the side, aimed at a more lay audience. I am openly gay and happily partnered, and thankfully have always been supported by my lab.
