I am gay and non-binary and I a vertebrate paleontology PhD student.//
My research is focused on pterosaurs. I work on taxonomy/phylogeny as well as functional studies, with a particular interest in myology reconstruction of the jaws and wings. I hope to learn more about how pterosaurs could eat and fly.
As a student, I have been lucky to have queer-friendly co-workers, despite working in not such queer-friendly environments and not having, until recently, openly queer professionals near me to look up to. My greatest desire is to help future new queer students to feel welcome and free in academic environments.
