He/Him
I am gay and I am an engineer and data scientist.//
I’m currently a process improvement and optimization expert at EPCOM in El Paso, Texas, working on finding and implementing creative groundbreaking solutions to the company’s pressing issues.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 from the American University of Beirut. I moved to the US from Lebanon back in 2017 for my master’s in Industrial Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn after receiving a full scholarship.
Living in the US has given me the space, safety and the freedom to be myself without being afraid of how the society would treat me. I’m currently working on an LGBTQ+ initiative at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in order to help other queer engineers be themselves in an environment that could be challenging in terms of acceptance and inclusivity.
