I am gay and I am a research scientist.//
I am a CNRS researcher at the Biogéosciences laboratory (Université Bourgogne Europe, Dijon, France). I am working on climatology, especially on atmospheric circulation patterns and their regional and local impacts, in the instrumental period and in historical times. I have worked (and/or currently work) with colleagues from various disciplines on climate risks such as cold waves, late frosts, heavy rainfall and floods, droughts, storms, snow cover and avalanches, and heat waves.
Other research interests.
- History of science: research on the knowledge of meteorology and climatology in the ancient world.
- Cinema and science: this work consists of disentangling what is credible or not in certain types of films: disaster, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, sword-and-sandal, adventure-archaeology, science fiction…
