He/Him

I am gay and I am a meteorologist for Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. //

Hi! I’m an applied meteorologist, focusing on meteorological natural hazards and catastrophe risk-modeling for one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies. I earned my BS & master’s in meteorology at Florida State, where my research focused on the impact of the El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on North American weather patterns, as well as its impact on extreme weather events. Today my work focuses on the development and assessment of catastrophe risk-models that our industry uses to estimate losses from hypothetical hurricane/severe thunderstorm/winter storm events. I am also active in communicating the current and potential impacts of our warming planter to our clients and the industry at large, as well as advocating for stronger building codes across the United States that could significantly reduce the human and financial cost of future natural disasters. I’m vice-chair of my company’s PRIDE employee resource group for LBGTQ employees and allies.
