I am queer and I am a MS inorganic chemistry student, pharmacological chemist, science communicator, and educator.//
I am currently an MS inorganic chemistry student, but previously studied pharmacological chemistry as an undergraduate. My current work aims to synthesise metal-loaded polydopamine nanoparticles and characterise their local structure by magnetic analysis. These materials are biocompatible mimics of melanin and thus exhibit similar properties in optics, electricity, and magnetics. I will be pursuing a JDP degree with an emphasis in chemical education and inorganic chemistry. I also really love talking about chemistry and host the Chemistry Cayk Online Podcast, which is pretty sweet.
