I am gay and I am an evolutionary biologist. //
Always wanting to pursue a career in zoology, I started my path as a biology undergraduate student at UC Berkeley. I then completed a PhD in Canberra, Australia, and now I am working as a postdoc in the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. My research broadly focuses on understanding the process of species formation by using genomes to tell us the story. I feel incredibly lucky that I can wear my gay badge unabashedly, wherever in the world my scientific career path takes me. Outside of work, my time is also occupied by nature, baking, cooking, graphic design, travel, and fitness. And most importantly, I would never turn down an invite to grab some good eats and drinks.
