I am gay and I am an aquatic biogeochemist. //
My name is Josh Papacek, and I am a PhD candidate (defending soon *fingers crossed*) at the University of Florida. My research focuses on how nutrients, namely nitrogen and phosphorus, cycle through coastal ecosystems and can lead to harmful algal blooms. Outside of my research, I am also an activist for the graduate employee union at UF, which strives to ensure all graduate students are treated with dignity and respect as university employees and researchers.
