He/Him

I am queer and I am a social psychologist.//

I’m a queer phd student in social psychology and social policy at Princeton University. I was born in Mexico but spent most of my life in Texas and am currently protected by the DACA program. My queerness has always been shaped by my undocumented status, a combination that has been highly influential in my research. I investigate the social perception and discourse surrounding immigrants, HIV pre exposure prophylaxis and its users, racism, and dichotomies that create “good/bad” people. As someone multiply impacted by overlapping restrictive social systems, my goal is to contribute insights to social problems and hopefully in the process provide solutions that don’t continue to marginalize.
