I am queer and I am a research compliance coordinator.//

My STEM story started in social developmental psychology research. My research has always involved the LGBTQ community and as someone who belong to multiple marginalized groups, I was a little disheartened that some of the research appeared to exploit the very communities that we are trying to help so I went into the field of human subjects research protection. Now I get to enjoy reading about all of the cool research that my institution is doing and I get to help ensure that the human participants who participate in research are being protected.
