I am queer and I am an anthropologist.//

I am queer and pansexual. And I am an anthropologist.

I grew up well-below the poverty line and did not know if college was even in my future. Now, I have a PhD and research forensic and justice interventions used after mass violence. Using research findings, I strive to improve victim and survivor services. Consultation and research has led me abroad to countries like Canada to work with First Nations or Uganda to work with survivors of the war with the Lord’s Resistance Army. I also work locally to assist survivors of human trafficking and consult on forensic cases at a regional medical examiner’s office.
