She/Her

I am bi and I am a neuroscientist.//

I’m a neuroscientist currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. My research focuses on thalamocortical circuit contributions to decision-making. The thalamus is a fascinating structure that has roles in information processing of all types (sensory, motor, cognition), making it important for lots of different behaviors. I’m specifically studying cognitive thalamic structures. My research is important for determining how the brain supports complex decision-making and how neuropsychiatric disease affects these systems.

I’m also passionate about LGBTQ+ representation in STEM and working on some projects to identify potential disparities within the neurosciences while we wait on NSF and NIH to systematically collect sexual orientation and gender identity demographic information.
