I am queer and non-binary and I am a PhD student in entomology.//
I am working on my PhD in Entomology (with a certificate in computational bio), focusing on the evolutionary ecology of herbivorous insects. I do a lot of meta-analyses and ecological modeling using publicly available data sets like gbif. I also write a comic about insects and other animals. Because my university is in the deep south, I don’t feel comfortable coming out about my gender identity or my sexuality at work.
