I am a plant community ecologist, educator, hiker, LGBTQ+ rights advocate, and musician. My research focuses on how abiotic factors associated with climate change impact the traits, geographic distribution and landscape genetics of marsh grasses, and how these changes in turn affect ecosystem function and resilience to future change.
I’m super proud to be an out trans, queer, non-binary scientist! I also sing with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, a music organization dedicated to promoting equality. 😀
