They/Them or She/Her

I’m queer and I’m a science communicator. //

I love chatting about all kinds of science with all kinds of people! I started doing Cell Biology, but found I was more interested in talking and writing science than I was at doing it (besides, I was terrible in the lab), so I pursued a MSc in Science Communication and Public Engagement to be a professional talker-about-science. I’m now a STEM educator at my local science centre, where I welcome thousands of school pupils every year to learn about all sorts of science. I also focus on inclusivity in my workshops to make sure all pupils can engage with STEM subjects. I’m still working on being visibly queer in my workshops, but hope that my androgynous-ness shows kids (and adults…) that there isn’t one way to look like a scientist.
