I am bi and I am a human geneticist.//
I first became interested in human genetics when I was diagnosed with the genetic disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type III at age 16. Since then, I have become interested in large-scale genome-wide association studies, and how they can help lead to new treatments for complex genetic disorders. As a current Ph.D. student at The University of Pennsylvania, I now specifically focus on identifying causal genetic variants in Alzheimer’s Disease.
I also have a Bachelor of Arts in music, and have played piano for 18 years. In my free time, you’ll find me being a proud bunny mom to my big black and white rabbit, Penguin!
