I am bi and I am an assistant professor in chemistry and biochemistry.//
I am a bi, first-gen Australian woman who works at the intersection of chemistry and bioengineering. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2013, then went on to get a DPhil at the University of Oxford in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry in 2017. During 2017 – 2020, I worked with Samir Mitragotri at Harvard University as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioengineering. From mid-2020, I will be an Assistant Professor in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Mississippi. To start with, I’ll be using the physical chemistry of ionic liquids to overcome challenges in nanoparticle drug delivery.
In my spare time, I sing as a soprano in two LBTQ+ choruses and volunteer as a crisis counselor with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center.
