I am queer bisexual and I am a botanist and science communicator. //
I love plants and I love to tell people about them. I fell in love with plant science in AP Biology in high school, and studied plant biology in undergrad. I focused on herbarium collections and writing, and have worked in digitization at three different herbaria. I particularly enjoy collecting plants and mounting them for my own plant collection. I spend my free time running “Brilliant Botany,” a plant science website and community. I attend science festivals, teach school/library programs, and make YouTube videos. My passion is creating engaging, accessible resources about plant science, and empowering people to take the conservation of our planet into their own hands.
