She/Her
I am bi and I am a science educator, podcaster, and graduate student.//
I have a background in earth and environmental sciences and spent years working in the field field with birds (passerine, waterfowl, and upland game birds). Currently I am a teaching assistant for elementary, middle, and high school students and everyday get to work with livestock, equines, and birds of prey. I am also a graduate student at the University of Idaho in Natural Resource Management. I love learning and sharing my interests with people!
I host a biweekly podcast called Nature is Gay. This was born out of a lack (as far as I could find) of centralized, accessible educational resources about gender and sexuality in the animal kingdom. My hope is to teach people, especially those in the LGBTQ community, that being queer is as natural as being human. I’m always looking for collaborators or people to share their unique perspectives and research!
