I am queer and I am a field service application engineer.//

 

I am pansexual. I currently work as a field service application engineer for Agilent Technologies. Part of my time is spent travelling the UK and Ireland, repairing and servicing analytical instruments. The rest of my time is spent developing or helping customers to develop new methods for analysing a wide variety of samples and compounds. Working in a very cis, het, male-dominated field is certainly a challenge, but I am very proud to be a queer scientist and make no effort to hide this from my colleagues. The reception I have had is very positive, and I look forward to meeting more queer scientists on my travels!
