Andrianna Ayiotis

She/Her

I am bi and I am a biomedical engineering PhD student. //

I am a neuroengineer working on learning how to successfully hack into the central and peripheral nervous system with neural implants (like cochlear implants for hearing impaired patients and deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s patients). I am also the co-chair of GSS, the LGBTQ+ organization at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health) where I work toward creating a more diverse and inclusive environment for people of all sexualities and gender expressions. I spend my free time with my girlfriend, friends, and one-eyed cat (ideally at the same time).
